After a lengthy discussion and strategy session with residents, City of Houston Planning Staff and Planning Commissioner Bryant it was unanimous that applying for minimum lot size was the best course of action to manage development in our neighborhood.
Minimum lot size protection gives property owners a tool to manage the development in the neighborhood since there aren’t any deed restrictions. This way developers and investors are encouraged to build in the spirit and likeness of the existing houses.
Several residents stepped up to lead their block in collecting petition signatures and coordinating with President, Jason Hyman in getting applications completed and submitted.
